This festival is held just outside Stuttgart and is a must-see event. This is the world’s largest pumpkin festival with more than 450,000 pumpkins and 800 varieties to show the public. You’ll see pumpkin sculptures and treats made from the vegetable. If you love pumpkins, this is the place to go, especially if you’re enjoying Europe in the fall.

State College, Pennsylvania

The Penn State Pumpkin Festival is held at the Arboretum at Penn State during October. This is a family-friendly festival that is free to attend and has free pumpkins for everyone to enjoy. You can carve your pumpkin and enter the annual pumpkin carving contest that’s held on the campus. You’ll get to enjoy some delicious apple cider while admiring the illuminated pumpkins. The best time to visit this festival is during sunset when you can see the amazing pumpkins lit up. Penn State has one of the best pumpkin patches that you’ll ever see.

Jack-O-Lantern Festival, Budapest, Hungary

The famousness of jack-o-lanterns in America is becoming a big hit in other countries as well. Budapest hosts an annual festival celebrating the carvings of these pumpkins with Halloween treats and some of the most intricately carved pumpkins in the world. The jack-o-lanterns are displayed around the massive public square, giving you a central place to see these incredible carvings and enjoy the celebration. This event is also a fund-raising event, with entrants bringing a can of food or other non-perishable item to the event to be collected for local charities.

Houston Zoo, Houston, Texas

The Houston Zoo has some amazing animals and one of the best pumpkin patches in the world. The Halloween celebration at the zoo features jack-o-lanterns hanging from the trees and in cages. Kids can dress in costumes and run around the place while viewing the amazing animals that make this zoo their home. Many of the pumpkins are put into cages for animals to eat, making for a delicious snack and treat for these amazing animals.

Great Jack-O-Lantern Blaze, New York

This incredible Halloween event takes place at Croton-on-Hudson in New York at the Van Cortland Manor. This is cool event that runs from the end of September through November and is often sold out. The grounds are illuminated with thousands of intricately carved pumpkins made to give you a jaw-dropping scene. You could see a pumpkin version of the Statue of Liberty and a fully functional pumpkin carousel. Enjoy the music and festivities of this wonderful event.
