The story of Bigfoot is a national folk tale that has been known to take place in many locations. Strangely, there are many Bigfoot Museums across the U.S.
Is there a large, human-like creature roaming the forests of the United States? We don’t have anything to say for sure that there’s no such thing as the Sasquatch, which is also known as Bigfoot. Instead of being nothing more than a local legend isolated to one area, this story has national coverage, and explorers from all over have claimed to witness the creature walking around in the forest at night. This has created the phenomenon of several Bigfoot museums popping up all over the country.
How Many Sightings Have There Been
It may seem absolutely incredible, but people have claimed that more than 5,600 Sasquatch sightings have been reported in the United States alone. That doesn’t include the many sightings that have also been claimed around the world. With the number of people who have claimed to have seen the creature, you would think there might be more clear and visible photos taken of him.
The only state in the United States with zero reported Bigfoot sightings is Hawaii, which makes perfect sense. The largest number of sightings in any single state is Washington, where many of the Bigfoot stories begin.
Where does Bigfoot exist?
A human/apelike creature that doesn’t want to be seen or interact with humans would want to stay away from populated areas. It makes sense that many sightings take place in these spaces. You pretty much never hear that the creature was seen walking down Madison Avenue in New York City, but instead, you hear that sightings take place in the woods, usually at night, and in poor lighting or adverse weather conditions.
The description is pretty consistent
Part of why there may be so many Bigfoot Museums across the United States is the consistency of the description of the create. For the most part, Bigfoot seems to be a tall, human/apelike creature that walks on two legs, is covered in hair, and has long arms and large feet. If you have seen Star Wars, you can picture the Wookie, Chewbacca with bit of a more human appearance.
Because of this description, the large number of sightings in Washington makes perfect sense. Most of the year, this state is colder than most others, making for milder and more comfortable settings for this large creature covered in hair.
What is Bigfoot?
Based on the description, Bigfoot might not be an ape, but then again, he might be. Many experts, if there are such claims to be made, think of Bigfoot as a large, massive, bipedal ,hairy higher primate. He could be a type of ape that is extinct and be the last of the species, but the Sasquatch could also be more closely related to humans than we realize. Still, others think he might be a type of primate that hasn’t yet been documented by science.
